A video-effects course that is not explosions for their own sake. You will key green, track screens, clean plates, match grade a composite, and extend a set just enough that the director does not notice. That is the work that pays on ads and music videos.
We shoot or pull plates, then finish them. Rotoscoping with a deadline. Beauty that does not look waxy. Sky replacements that match the sun. Mentors come from finishing, not from YouTube preset channels.
The track. You leave with before/afters that prove you can save a shot — the skill houses hire when the day did not go to plan.

You do not need a reel to start — you need the willingness to be marked. This track is built for people who want to work, not collect modules. Typical students:

How the weeks run
Sessions mix floor time and review. You make something every week. Mentors who still take briefs will mark the work as they would a junior's — clear, specific, and aimed at the next version, not a grade. Homework is real: a cut, a lighting plot, a calendar, a reel. If you only wanted theory, this is the wrong room.
Class sizes stay small enough that nobody hides. You will see other students' work, steal what is useful, and learn to talk about pictures without hand-waving. That critique muscle is what agencies notice in an interview.
Gear is taught as a means. We would rather you light well with two lights than own a catalogue. Software follows the same rule: Premiere, After Effects, and whatever the floor is actually using — enough to be dangerous, not a tour of every panel.
Where this course runs
Ad and music-video work in Kerala rarely has the budget to reshoot, so the shot has to be saved in post. This pack is built around that reality — cleanup, keys and set work on real plates, some of them pulled on the shoot floor downstairs at HiLITE Business Park.

Video Effects — common questions
Is this a beginner VFX course?
No. It is pitched at intermediate level — you should already be comfortable in After Effects or an editing timeline. If you are starting from zero, the After Effects and motion graphics track comes first.
Do you teach Nuke?
The compositing is taught in After Effects and DaVinci Fusion, using node-based comp for the shots After Effects fights. The thinking transfers to a Nuke-style graph, but Nuke itself is not the tool on the floor.
Where do the plates come from?
We shoot or pull them. The in-house studio is used for green screen, beauty and cleanup plates so you are compositing footage you watched being shot, not a stock download.
What do I leave with?
A VFX breakdown reel structured as problem then solution — before, after, and the one shot that proves you can rescue a day that did not go to plan.
